Appointments

Do I need a referral to make an initial appointment?

Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers. You do not need a referral to make an initial appointment.

What is your age limit for new families?

Our services are primarily for babies and infants who are not yet walking, or are in the early stages of walking. We accept referrals for children up to five years of age.

Can I bring other children to the appointment?

We understand that siblings may need to attend your appointment and will do our best to accomodate your whole family.

What should I do if my baby is unwell on the day of the appointment?

We would prefer you do not attend your appointment if you or your baby are unwell on the day of your appointment. Please get in touch as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements for your scheduled appointment.

Do you offer home visits?

We offer home visits for families who live within a 5km radius of our Clifton Hill clinic. Please note that home visits can only be provided for review appointments and will attract additional fees.

Fees

What will our appointment cost?

Our service fees are kept up to date on our online bookings page, and may be adjusted from time to time. These fees are based on the NDIS fee schedule, and are the same for all families, regardless of diagnoses or funding source. Please note you will be requested to pay the full fee for service on the day of your appointment by credit card or EFTPOS.

Can I claim a rebate from my private health insurance?

Private health insurance rebates are available for our service fees. Please contact your individual health fund and quote code 500 (Initial Appointment) or 505 (Review Appointments) to determine your expected rebate. We use Medipass software to process private health insurance rebates. To check whether your fund supports on the spot claiming, please visit the Medipass website.

Do you bulk-bill for Medicare appointments?

Families who are referred by their GP under the Chronic Disease Management program are eligible for a partial rebate through Medicare. We are a private clinic and unfortunately it is not possible for us to offer bulk-billing for these consultations. Please note you are not able to claim Medicare rebates and private health rebates for the same consultation.

Do you offer concessions for Health Care card holders?

If you have a Health Care Card we offer a 20% reduction in your service fees. Please bring your Health Care Card to your appointment to receive this discount.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

We will make every effort to remind you of upcoming appointments by SMS or email, but if you do need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.

Unfortunately we may need to charge you a non-attendance fee if you don’t let us know that you need to cancel your appointment.

What are the extra fees associated with home visits?

We charge additional fees for the time it takes to travel from our clinic to your home. These fees will be based on our current hourly rate, and charged in 5 minute increments up to a maximum of 30 minutes of travel. Please note that home visits are scheduled as 60 minute review appointments and will be billed accordingly. We do not offer 30 minute home visits.

Telehealth

How is Telehealth delivered?

We use a secure platform called Cliniko for all video consultations. When you book your appointment, you will be emailed a link that allows you to join the session at the allocated time. All you need is an up to date web browser on your computer or device, and a reliable internet connection.

Are Telehealth sessions covered by my funding?

The NDIS covers Telehealth sessions the same way they cover your regular physiotherapy sessions.

Private health insurance rebates for Telehealth are available from some providers. Please contact your individual health fund and quote code 811 (Initial Appointment) or 812 (Review Appointments) to determine your expected rebate.

Can I access Telehealth if I am overseas?

We can only provide Telehealth services to you if you are currently residing in Australia.
