Conditions We Treat

Plagiocephaly or Torticollis

We see babies who have a preference to turn or tilt their head one way, or are developing a flat spot on the back of their head. These signs can be the result of tight neck muscles, and can make it hard to learn and perform some motor skills.

Gross Motor Delay

Some babies do not tolerate tummy time well, or take a long time to develop control of their head. Other babies feel stiff or floppy when you pick them up, or you may notice they have a preference to use one side of their body. These can be early signs of gross motor problems.

We help babies who are having trouble with tummy time, rolling, sitting, crawling, cruising and walking, or are slow to reach these milestones.

Missed or Asymmetrical Milestones

We see babies who choose unusual ways of moving, such as crawling with one leg out to the side, as well as babies who bottom shuffle rather than crawl.

Medical Conditions or Pre-term Birth

We have a lot of experience working with babies who have spent a long time in hospital, or have been in neonatal or paediatric intensive care. We can provide rehabilitation for babies and children who have been acutely unwell, or have ongoing medical requirements. We can also provide developmental monitoring of babies who have a high chance of motor problems.
